Mobile & Desktop Apps
Software for the job nobody sells software for.
Some workflows are too specific for an off-the-shelf product and too important for a spreadsheet. We build the apps that sit in that gap — field data capture, depot scanning, technician tools, internal desktop utilities — and we build them to be handed over.
What you end up with
- Working prototype before production code is written
- Offline-first where the work genuinely happens offline
- Single sign-on against your existing identity provider
- Source, docs and signing keys handed over — no vendor lock-in
Scope
What the engagement covers.
Platforms & tooling
- React Native
- Flutter
- Electron
- .NET
- Swift
- Kotlin
- PostgreSQL
- 01
Discovery and prototype
A clickable prototype of the core workflow before any production code, so the argument about how it should work happens early and cheaply.
- 02
Cross-platform mobile
iOS and Android from one codebase, including offline-first storage for teams working somewhere with no signal.
- 03
Desktop applications
Windows and macOS builds for the tools that need local hardware — scanners, label printers, serial devices, large local files.
- 04
Backend and integrations
APIs, authentication and sync against the systems you already run, with your identity provider rather than another password.
- 05
Store release and handover
App Store and Play submission or enterprise distribution, plus source, documentation and a signing-key handover so you are not locked to us.
How it runs
Four phases, agreed before we start.
- 01
Assess
Output: environment map, risk list, fixed-price proposal.
- 02
Plan
Output: runbook, comms templates, rollback criteria.
- 03
Execute
Output: live status channel, step-by-step verification log.
- 04
Support
Output: reconciliation report, documentation, handover session.
Questions
About mobile & desktop apps.
Do we own the code?
Yes, outright, including repositories, documentation and signing keys. Ownership transfers on final payment and is written into the agreement, not implied.
What happens after launch?
Either a support and maintenance agreement, or a handover package and a training session for your own developers. Both are legitimate — we will tell you which we think fits.
Can it work without a connection?
Yes, where the work demands it. Offline-first with conflict resolution designed against your actual rules, because "last write wins" is rarely what a business means.
